The Peña Ganchegui Prize 2025 has been announced.

On the occasion of the 99th anniversary of the birth of Luis Peña Ganchegui, the 5th edition of the Young Basque Architecture Prize named after him has been announced.

The award, which comes with a cash prize of 6,000 euros, is aimed at architectural professionals with less than 10 years' experience who were trained or work in the Basque Country.

The deadline for registering for the prize is April 29, while the deadline for submitting entries is May 29.

Individual or collective applications may be submitted, and those interested must present their own merits, which may include works, projects and research that represent a contribution in the field of architecture, covering all areas and scales, from the design of objects to interventions in the territory.

The jury for this edition is made up of Carme Pinós, Begoña Fernández-Shaw and Ángel Martínez García-Posada.

The works of the finalists will be on display at the EAI/IAE from 16 October as part of the programme of Mugak/, the International Architecture Biennial of the Basque Country.
