At session held in San Sebastian last July, at Basque Country Architecture Institute, the members of the jury of the 2019 Peña Ganchegui Prize, Eduardo Mangada, Eva Prats and Moisés Puente, selected six finalists of the candidacy set presented.
The deliberation was carried out in the presence of the representatives of the institutions, Rocío Peña (File Peña Ganchegui) and Pablo García Astrain (Basque government), acting as secretary Mario Sangalli, the coordinator of the award.
In the next few days the names of the finalists of this second edition of the award for the young basque architecture will be published, while the names of the winning candidacy and the possible mentions, will be released on the same day of the delivery of the award, which It will take place on October 10th.
This act of delivery will involve the start of the second edition of MUGAK, the Basque Country International Architecture Biennial, and will give way to the opening of the exhibition Peña Ganchegui 2019, which will be on display in Convento de Santa Teresa, headquarters of the EAI/IAE, until December 12, 2019.
