Graduated at the Valladolid School of Architecture, with a stay at the Universidade Lusíada in Lisbon, Sara Enríquez Legarra (Durango, 1993) obtained her Master's degree in Architecture in 2021, with her Master's Thesis “Heterotopía Urbana” (Urban Heterotopia), a theoretical-projective exploration that dialogues with Foucauldian concepts and peripheral spatial dynamics, which was awarded a distinction and recognised as a Finalist in the IV ASEMAS Master's Thesis Award.
Her interest in architectural representation and graphic languages has been evident since the beginning of her career, with her final degree project “Strategies and graphic models in architecture competitions: Europan as a case study”, which received the highest mark and was subsequently presented at the 41st Convegno Internazionale dei Docenti delle Discipline della Rappresentazione (Università di Firenze), thus consolidating her participation in international academic networks.
Since 2020, he has been collaborating with ELE Arkitektura in Durango, actively participating in collective housing projects, facilities and social proposals. At the same time, together with Daniel de Diego Barrios, he promotes the Lokuluxka collective, a practice that moves between the speculative and the contextual, from architecture to furniture and photography. The collective was included in the ZIP Ecosystems exhibition (Madrid) and has won awards in competitions such as Meeting Point Arquine (2nd prize, 2021) and the Cuicocha viewpoint (honourable mention).
His career seeks to combine architectural practice with critical research, proposing operational frameworks that expand the ways of conceiving, representing and inhabiting space.
